First person narrative If you want to tell the story from the point of view of one of the characters, you can write in the first person, using 'I'. This puts the reader inside the mind of that.
Introduce a main character If you’re writing a character-driven novel or short story, begin with the character. Let the reader see something about that character that will make them want to get to know them better. Think of it as being introduced to a real person.
